We're excited to welcome Cathy Grim to Miggo Security as our VP of Customer Success, joining at a moment when the question of what customers actually get from a security platform has never been sharper.

A Customer Success Leader with a Philosophy

We asked Cathy what guides her approach to building a modern CS organization:

“It all starts with the customer journey. I want to build a function that is highly strategic but also highly operational, with clear ownership, measurable outcomes, strong customer intelligence, and as much automation as possible. AI factors in to help eliminate a lot of the administrative work that has historically required CS teams to scale headcount, allowing our people to spend more time on the conversations and decisions that affect customer outcomes.”

Why Miggo, Why Now?

For Cathy, the decision came down to need and the chance to design the function from the ground up.

“Miggo is solving a problem I believe is becoming increasingly urgent: attackers are turning daily vulnerability disclosures into working exploits in minutes, and traditional security defenses can’t keep up. What drew me in was the opportunity to build the customer success function at an early stage, where we can design the operating model to ensure our customers achieve measurable outcomes.”

What Makes a Great CS Motion

We asked Cathy how she defines a customer success motion that works.

“A great CS motion is proactive, measurable and tied to business outcomes. Customers shouldn’t have to tell us when something is going wrong. We should understand adoption, risk, value and expansion opportunities well enough to anticipate what’s coming next. I always say give the customer one more than they asked for. Treat every interaction as a teaching opportunity.”

First Week Impressions

Every new leader brings a fresh perspective. We asked Cathy what stood out in her first weeks.

“The combination of technical depth, passion and urgency. People here move fast, ask hard questions and aren’t afraid to challenge assumptions. For someone coming in to build CS, that’s an exciting environment.”

What Comes Next

We asked Cathy about her priorities in the months ahead.

“First, build a predictable customer journey from onboarding through adoption, renewal and expansion. Second, establish the operating foundation and customer intelligence we need to proactively manage health, risk and outcomes. Third, build the right CS organization around the business, with the right roles, processes and technology, without creating unnecessary complexity. Ultimately, I want customers to know exactly what success with Miggo looks like, and I want us to have a clear way to measure whether we’re delivering it.”

What excites her most is the building itself:

“I love building things, especially when it helps shape how the company operates. I’m looking forward to building the CS function, working directly with some incredibly sophisticated customers, and helping turn a new category of technology into measurable customer outcomes.”

Where the Market Gets It Wrong

Cathy also shared how she sees the market shifting — and where companies misread it.

“AI is dramatically changing the economics and speed of both building applications and finding vulnerabilities. That means the traditional model of finding a vulnerability, creating a patch and waiting for it to be deployed is under increasing pressure. Companies can no longer treat security as a race to patch everything faster. The bigger opportunity is understanding risk in the context of the running application and having additional layers of defense when a patch can’t happen immediately.”

That’s the layer at which Miggo operates: real runtime risk, not theoretical exposure.

A Contrarian Take

“The future of CS isn’t larger teams. It’s smaller, more technical teams with dramatically better influence.”

The Goal of Customer Success

“The goal of Customer Success isn’t to manage customers. It’s to make their success predictable.”

We’re proud to welcome Cathy to Miggo Security as we continue building the ADR category — with clarity, precision, and unshakable focus.
